What's a Kwarsh?

Who knows, it's a funny sounding word thats for sure.

No really what is it?

Kwarsh is supposed to be a hybrid MMORPG internet directory. It's moderated like the common internet directories that you find all over the web. We decided to go this route because moderation is needed either ways (either before or after the link has been added to the directory) and were not smart enough to write awesome algorithms to automate the process of submission moderation.

Then, Kwarsh also has a rating feature, that allows it's users to rate the various links which is similar to a social bookmarking site such as DIGG. The higher the rating the higher the link will rank in search / directory results.

Kwarsh was created because, mainly, we were tired of searching for mmorpg related class guides, leveling guides and money making guides. We want to provide a quick way for our users to find the leet infoz they are looking for. We obviously took it past being a directory restricted to guides, so now we're providing a directory for anything MMORPG, and we hope you find it useful and submit anything interesting you find, so others may enjoy it too =).

Rating Table

Rating down a link

Currently it's not possible to rate a link down (equal to DIGG's bury feature), but it might be implemented in the future. You can however report a link, which works in a similar way but also provides some information for us on why you did not like the entry and if there was something wrong with it.

User power

While ultimately we decide what goes into the directory and what doesnt our users have certain ways to help us moderate the directory better. If you come along a dead, duplicated or misleading link you can notify us by reporting the link. Once a link has been reported a certain - yet to be defined - amount of times it will disappear from the directory results until we have looked at it.

Comments are moderated likewise. If you catch a comment that you consider to be SPAM you can rate it down. Should the comment reach a rating of -5 it will be minimized and faded out from other users so they dont have to read it.

User Levels and number of user submissions

Kwarsh users gain experience for certain activities and events on kwarsh.

Higher experience means certain privileges that other lower ranked users do not have. Right now these privileges are:

In the future we would like to add:

User Karma

While user karma is invisible to you, we still think you should know about it. It is how we track bad behavior on kwarsh. You will earn bad karma for the following activities:

This list may be added to in the future. The amount of bad karma you get depends on the activity.
